LUMS welcomes incoming Study Abroad and Exchange students

04 October 2012

Lancaster University Management School welcomed incoming study abroad and exchange students from overseas partner universities with a traditional afternoon tea, as part of their induction to Lancaster.

The students, from several countries including China, Austria, Switzerland, Taiwan, Italy and Spain, are studying at LUMS for either one year or one term as part of their degree at their home universities.

LUMS' returning study abroad students were on hand to welcome the new incomers to Lancaster. President of the Lancaster Study Abroad Society, Bethan Jones (BSc Business Studies, Study Abroad), reflected on her own study abroad experience;

"After spending a year abroad myself, upon my return to Lancaster I now really want to help others in the same situation. Any event which gives these students the opportunity to meet each other and talk is a great idea".
